Our Inspiration: Mata Amritananadamayi - Amma<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Mata Amritanandamayi is well known throughout the world as “Amma”. For decades she serves world community through her wisdom and inspirational power. Amma has been travelling for over 30 years around the world and inspires through her speeches and her Darshan – the embrace – her message of Love and compassion. Through her all-encompassing selflessness and giving nature, Amma has helped touch countless people\u2019s hearts.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”1708″ img_size=”large”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner el_class=”vc_col-sm-push-6″ width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Amma has founded the global, charitable network “Embracing the World”. Who\u2019s voluntary Helpers support the poorest people in the world with food, medical care and educational opportunities, Housing construction and livelihood projects. Embracing the World is also committed to environmental protection and sustainability.<\/p>\n

Amma has been awarded numerous international prizes, including the Gandhi King Award for non-violence, which was presented to her in 2002 at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
