A day in the Center<\/h1><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]Apart from the special Programmess (Amma\u2019s Europe Tour, Amma’s Programme in Hof Herrenberg), the M.A. Center Hof Herrenberg follows a rhythm in which spiritual practices, times of personal exchange and voluntary work alternate. All visitors are cordially invited to join us in recitation, meditation and bhajans.<\/p>\n

Common Spiritual Practice<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The goal of spirituality is to reduce the flow of thoughts so that the mind becomes calmer and more peaceful. This peace not only benefits yourself, but also helps others.<\/p>\n

Amma<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In the morning we begin with the recitation of the 1,000 Names of the Divine Mother – Sri Lalita Sahasranama -. This mantra recitation has been practiced in India for thousands of years. It has a strengthening and harmonizing effect on our mind and brings peace to the world.<\/p>\n

During the day we do the work in the Center with the necessary mindfulness and with the awareness that we are not the doers, but the divine power within us – karma yoga-. The bhajans, devotional songs,<\/p>\n

in the evening help us to relax and open our heart. The collective meditation strengthens our ability to concentrate and brings peace to our mind.[\/vc_column_text]

Voluntary Service (Seva)<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The greatest tragedy in life is not death. The greatest tragedy in life is when our talents and abilities lie idle and rust.<\/p>\n

Amma<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Seva, voluntary service or karma yoga is an important spiritual practice. Amma also calls Seva “meditation in action”. Through karma yoga we learn to overcome our likes and dislikes and accept the world as it is.<\/p>\n

The Amma Zentrum Hof Herrenberg is run exclusively by volunteers. They and all visitors offer their time, talents and skills free of charge.
